INITIAL SET UP AND COSTS INVOLVED:
The only payment you will make to Track Your Ltd is the cost of the tracking device (+p&p). Unlike competitor companies, Track Your Ltd do NOT charge monthly fees. Please note however that the tracking device is NOT supplied with a SIM card. This is so that you can chose which SIM card package you require (e.g. Pay As You Go, or a monthly contract with the network provider), plus it ensures that only the Guardians of the tracker are aware of the phone number associated to it, hence ensuring customer privacy.
Following purchase of your tracking device, you will need to purchase a SIM card, available from most large supermarkets or mobile phone retail stores, and apply credit onto it. With the right SIM package maintenance cost can be as little as £20 PER YEAR UNLIMITED CALLS + TEXT USAGE*
The SIM card is placed inside the tracking device, and the device then needs to be activated - full details of how to do this are provided within the easy-to-follow User Guide supplied with your tracker.
Because a SIM card has its own unique phone number associated to it, only select individuals (Guardians) who know this phone number will be able to make contact with the tracking device.
The purchaser of the GPS Tracker is responsible for budgeting for set-up costs (purchase of SIM card to go inside tracking device), plus ongoing costs (text messages/phone calls from their mobile phone, plus the costs of the tracking device sending messages to their phone).
Note: If you would prefer, you can purchase a SIM card from Track Your Ltd at an additional cost, and we can manage your credit on it. Please contact us on info@trackyour.co.uk if you would like to find out more details.
ONGOING COSTS TO OPERATE THE TRACKER:
The chosen Guardian(s) can now communicate with the tracker, utilising the 'Track Your GPS Tracker' App on their Smartphones, which ensures communications with the tracker are quick and extremely simple. Guardians can alternatively use non-Smartphone mobile phones, though this involves having to remember and type cumbersome messages to the tracking device.
EASY-TO-FOLLOW INSTRUCTION MANUALS ARE PROVIDED FOR BOTH SMARTPHONE USERS AND FOR NON-SMARTPHONE USERS.
Once the tracking device has been positioned on the person/item to be monitored, the Guardian(s) can now communicate with it by sending SMS text messages to the number of the SIM contained within the tracker. The Guardian(s) can thereby discreetly monitor a range of tracker functions, including establishing the location of the tracker-wearer and so on. When sending a message from their phone to the tracker, the Guardian will incur the cost of an SMS text message.
If the tracker then responds to the Guardian phone (e.g. sending through its location details), then this will debit the SIM card within the tracker with the cost of sending an SMS text message.
With the right SIM package maintenance cost can be as little as £20 PER YEAR UNLIMITED CALLS + TEXT USAGE*.

How many people (Carers) can make contact with a GPS tracking device?
Up to 5 Carers can be authorized to contact a GPS tracking device. This means that up to 5 people can have access to the tracker (to obtain its location etc) at any time. Access permissions can changed. E.G to allow receipt of alerts only / receipt of alerts + obtain location / Set Alerts (Full Control)
Can a Carer monitor multiple trackers?
Yes! A carer with a SmartPhone can monitor an unlimited number of GPS Tracking Devices (these devices do not all need to be the same make/model). To differentiate each tracker the carer will need to enter the IMEI number, along with a name for the tracker wearer, when entering the tracker details into their phone.
Why use a GPS Tracker rather than mobile phone?
- Unlike a mobile phone, the Tracking Device is proactive in communicating potential issues experienced by the tracker-bearer (eg tracking device can inform Guardians if tracker-bearer exceeds a certain speed, indicating they are in a moving vehicle. Guardian can then instantly obtain location of tracker-bearer, and provide assistance if required)
- Guardians can discretely monitor whereabouts of the tracker-bearer without having to make an intrusive phone call
- Less risk of tracker-wearer having device stolen
- Low risk of tracker-wearer accruing large phone bills
- Only selected Guardians can communicate with the Device (so tracker-wearer will not receive phone calls from undesirables)
- Many GPS Tracking Devices have SOS button, which tracker-bearer can discretely press to alert Guardians of problem
Is there any risk that I may contact a different tracking device rather than the one being worn by my child?
When you first use your tracking device you will need to purchase and insert a SIM Card into it. This SIM Card has a unique phone number which ensures that, provided you remember the phone number associated to your tracker correctly, you will always make contact with the appropriate device. The Tracking device also has a password that can be change to prevent any access being made.
Are the GPS trackers easy to use?
Yes!! Track Your User Manuals for App & Non App Users are the best on the market and are provided for customers of the GPS tracking devices, which provide in-depth and user-friendly advice for utilising your tracking device effectively. The User Manuals also contain top tips sections to assist customers.
How long will batteries last?
This depends on the model and usage (see individual specification sheets for battery standby times). Configuring the tracker with the default settings as detailed within the Manuals 'Quick Starter Guide' the trackers can expect to last, on a full battery as follows.
TY107 - ~80hrs
TY201-2 - ~40hrs
TY102-2 - ~140hrs
Note: Active running time will be reduced, if using Speed alert. receiving or issuing multiple alerts or commands. The age of battery will reduce the time detailed. All Trackers will issue a ‘Low Battery’ alert to the Guardians’ when the battery has reached ~15% of remaining charge
It is recommended that for all models the battery is recharged during times when not in use, (charger unit supplied with all GPS trackers)
How do I best use the product?
The GPS Trackers can be used for a range of applications, from monitoring the whereabouts of your elderly parents / tracking the location of your child / tracking vehicles or possessions. The list is endless!! All you need to do is make sure there is enough battery life on the device and enough credit on the tracker SIM card to last the whole journey.
Easy to follow User Manuals are supplied with all of our GPS Trackers.
Can I use my GPS trackers when abroad?
Yes, the GPS trackers can be used wherever there is sufficient GPS coverage. However, users should check that SIM within tracking device is compatible for use abroad.
What is the accuracy of the GPS trackers?
Accuracy can be up to 5 metres, but location and environmental factors can affect this (please see T&C pages)
Why am I not getting full coverage outside?
A poor GPS signal may be due to environmental factors, such as high-rise buildings, or alternatively there may be a lack of GSM network. Just like any other GPS product on the market, the Track Your GPS devices need a clear line-of-sight with satellites to operate. The GSM network is the same GSM network used for your mobile phone, and hence some areas are not covered by network providers which will affect the ability of the tracking device to function.
Will your GPS devices locate through obstacles e.g. walls?
As with all GPS devices, our GPS trackers need to be able to communicate with satellites in order to provide location details. They therefore do not reliably work indoors, and are best used outdoors. However they can still be used to determine whether the tracker has left a residence , as they will automatically attempt to reconnect regularly and can be set to alert you ones they have moved beyond an externally set boundary.
Do GPS trackers always work?
GPS trackers work best outdoors, where there is a strong satellite signal. They will normally provide a good indication of the whereabouts of the tracker-wearer. However, there are occasions when they do not work, for instance if the mobile network is not working, or if there are no satellite signals.
Track Your GPS tracking devices are provided to assist Carers with monitoring the location of their loved ones, but Track Your Ltd are in no way liable in the event of a tracker-wearer not being locatable as a result of failure of the GPS trackers to perform as advertised. Please refer to the 'Terms and Conditions' pages for further details.
Can I use a GPS tracker if I don't own a Smart Phone?
All of our GPS tracking devices can be used by Carers, no matter what type of mobile phone they own. However, if a Carer has a Smartphone, they can utilise the unique Track Your GPS Tracker App, which makes using the GPS tracking devices incredibly fast and easy - you can view the whereabouts of the tracker at the touch of a button.
More information about the Track Your GPS Tracker App
It is the unique Track Your GPS Tracker App which makes our GPS trackers so user-friendly and effective.
When you purchase a Track Your GPS Tracking Device, you will be issued with a unique IMEI number which will allow a free download of the Track Your GPS Tracker App to the main 'Carer' of the tracker. Any subsequent 'Carers' can purchase additional copies of the App (note: up to 5 carers can be allocated to each GPS tracking device).
Why choose Track Your Ltd?
Whilst similar tracking devices may be purchased from other sources, the Track Your GPS trackers are far superior because:
1. Track Your Provide free support to help get you up & Running efficiently and effectively for the intended application
2. When purchased through Track Your Ltd the cost price includes a free version of the Track Your GPS Tracker Smartphone App. This App ensures the trackers are easy to use without having to type cumbersome text commands each time you wish to contact the tracker.
3. Track Your Ltd do not charge monthly fees.
4. Track Your Ltd have developed user manuals which are simple to follow, for both Carers with Smartphones who can utilise the Track Your GPS Tracker App, and also for Carers without SmartPhones who don't have access to the App.
Why not purchase a GPS Tracker from abroad, to reduce costs?
We are a UK based company, and therefore the price we quote (inc p+p) is the price you will pay. This may not be the case if you are importing a tracking device from abroad, because it may be subject to customs processing and additional charges (which you will be charged once your tracker arrives in the UK). So a 'cheaper' item from abroad may ultimately cost more money as opposed to buying directly from us!
Additionally, Track Your Ltd provide a range of extra services, including:
- The cost price includes a free version of the Track Your GPS Tracker SmartPhone App (without this the tracker is virtually useless)
- Track Your Ltd do not charge monthly fees
- Track Your Ltd have developed easy to follow user manuals (unlike those manuals supplied from elsewhere)
- Excellent service and Technical support
Don't Be fooled by similar looking Trackers. Suppliers of these provide little / no support, poor / incorrect written manuals & cloned products that perform poorly, which will only leave you disappointed. We know!
What is an IMEI number?
You will need a valid IMEI number to obtain your free version of the Track Your GPS Tracker App. The IMEI number can be found behind the battery in most GPS trackers.
What are the costs involved in owning a GPS Tracker?
In addition to purchasing GPS Tracker (which includes one FREE download of the Track Your GPS Tracker App) from Track Your Ltd, you will also need to budget for set-up costs (purchase of SIM card to go inside your tracking device), plus ongoing costs (text messages/phone calls from your mobile phone, plus the costs of the tracking device sending messages to your phone).
Using the right SIM Packages you can achieve unlimited usage (Calls /Texts) for as little as £20 A YEAR!!
However, unlike competitor companies, Track Your Ltd do NOT charge monthly fees for using the tracking devices.
What are the costs of using a GPS Tracker?
After purchasing the tracking device, will need to purchase a SIM card, and pay all associated costs (for phone calls to the tracker as well as text messages sent to and from the tracking device). Using the right SIM Packages you can achieve unlimited usage (Calls /Texts) for as little as £20 A YEAR!!
Track Your Ltd customers will receive one free full version of the ‘Track Your™ GPS Tracker’ app. Any subsequent downloads will need to be purchased.
What type of SIM card needs to go within the tracking device?
Your tracker requires a standard-size SIM card. However, smaller (Micro or Nano) SIM cards can be used by using a SIM card adapter to convert them to fit into the standard SIM card holder.
NOTE: - Track Your GPS Trackers are NOT compatible with 3G only SIMs. E.g. Three Mobile, / Shebang.
What type of credit should I apply to my SIM card?
The choice of SIM Card and associated credit is a personal decision, based on individual needs (e.g. predicted numbers of communications with the tracking device on a monthly basis). However, Track Your Ltd do advise that SIM cards inserted into our tracking devices do NOT require any GPRS functionality (i.e. no data credit required), unless you are planning to connect to the back-end data server.
The Only SIM card known not to work with our trackers are 3G Only SIMs e.g. 3's or Shebangs. Please check that the SIM does not require 3G copability.
How do I know how much credit I have on the SIM card within the tracker?
If applicable, to view and add credit onto your ‘Pay As You Go’ SIM without having to remove SIM card from your tracker set up an on-line account with the network service provider.
E.g. Vodafone ‘My Account’ can be accessed on www.vodafone.co.uk/myvodafone or http://giffgaff.com/
Alternatively, you could purchase a contract-based SIM from a mobile phone retailer, to ensure you can control the credits more visibly.
How can I limit the number of SMS Messages being sent from my Tracker?
Restricting the numbers of Guardians assigned to the tracker can save money (when sending out certain alerts the tracker sends an SMS to each individual Guardian, which can rapidly use up credits).
Additionally, turn off your Tracker at a time of day when the tracker-wearer is safe, and isn't able to wander e.g at night. This will reduce the number of SMS messages being sent from the device, and is also an ideal time to recharge the battery.
Can I return my tracker to you if unwanted?
Returns are usually only accepted for faulty items, in which case we will either issue a replacement or a refund. However we will accept returns for genuine reasons.
Please be aware that if a GPS tracker is returned to us, the password MUST be reset to the default number (i.e.123456), or alternatively the altered tracker password must be supplied to us. If the password supplied is incorrect, then unfortunately NO refund will be given (as without the password the tracking device cannot be examined by us for repair purposes)
